The exhibition "Dualism" presents the art of Gaya Lastovjak, a contemporary figurative artist who creates three-dimensional oil paintings using her own technique. In each of her works, the author touches on the human theme, she is fascinated by the human being and the issues related to him. The leitmotif of the exhibition is the dualistic nature of man, as the subject of good and evil has always interested people. The concept of dualism is very widely understood and interpreted among philosophers, theologians and ethicists. In her paintings, Gaya Lastovjak presents a personal expression of her own observations about these different personality traits. The differences between people and their behaviour began to be intensely perceived by the artist during the 
pandemic. It was from that moment that she introduced the theme of human dualism into her art. The environment has a huge impact on us. The artist is particularly vulnerable to the outside world due to his heightened sensitivity. Personally, he experiences everything that happens in the world very strongly. In her work, Gaya Lastovjak tries to show what bothers her the most, but also what makes her happy. Her art is a kind of personal release. Literature and works such as The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri and the Dialogues of Confucius also contributed to the exploration of the subject. There is good and evil in human nature, and with them the ability to do good and evil. Confucius says that the way to self-improvement is to know how to cultivate good and suppress evil. Through the observation of her surroundings, the artist has developed a desire to mark in art both sides of human nature, which are inevitable and inherent in each of us. In her paintings, thanks to specific gestures of silhouettes, she presents valuable human qualities, such as unity, help or love, and negative ones, such as jealousy or lying. The artist glorifies the good qualities and criticizes the bad. One can see her work as a moralizer, but it should be remembered that man has enough freedom to make his own choices. Gaya Lastovjak's art is meant to show various manifestations of dualism and encourage the viewer to reflect and want to change for the better.
"I would like my work to be remembered as a personal expression of my views, experiences and reactions to the world. I also want to enter into a dialogue with the viewer, arouse certain emotions and feelings in him, motivate him to reflect on himselve and the world around him, and maybe even to change for the better. We are the ones who should change the world for the better, but first we have to start with ourselves" - says the artist.
The exhibition will present almost all of the artist's currently available works. During the vernissage, Gaya Lastovjak will talk about the her art. She also personally showed interested participants around the exhibition and explained the meaning of individual paintings.

Wystawa „Dualizm” prezentuje twórczość Gayi Lastovjak, współczesnej artystki figuratywnej tworzącej trójwymiarowe obrazy olejne techniką własną. Autorka w każdej swojej pracy porusza wątek ludzki, absorbuje ją drugi człowiek i związane z nim zagadnienia. Motywem przewodnim wystawy jest dualistyczna natura człowieka, ponieważ temat dobra i zła zawsze był w kręgu ludzkich zainteresowań. Pojęcie dualizmu jest bardzo szeroko rozumiane i interpretowane wśród filozofów, teologów czy etyków. Gaya Lastovjak w swoich obrazach przedstawia osobisty wyraz własnych obserwacji, dotyczących tych skrajnych cech osobowości. Różnice między ludźmi i ich zachowaniem artystka zaczęła intensywnie postrzegać podczas pandemii. To właśnie od tego momentu wprowadziła do swojej sztuki temat dualizmu człowieka. Środowisko ma na nas ogromny wpływ. Artysta jest szczególnie narażony na świat zewnętrzny ze względu na zwiększoną wrażliwość. Osobiście bardzo mocno doświadcza wszystkiego, co dzieje się na świecie. W swojej twórczości Gaya Lastovjak stara się pokazać to, co najbardziej ją nurtuje ale również to, co cieszy. Jej sztuka jest swojego rodzaju osobistym uwolnieniem. Do zgłębienia tematu przyczyniła się również literatura i takie utwory jak Boska komedia autorstwa Dante Alighieri oraz Dialogi Konfucjusza. W ludzkiej naturze jest dobro i zło, a wraz z nimi zdolność czynienia dobra i zła. Konfucjusz mówi, że drogą do samodoskonalenia jest umiejętność pielęgnowania dobra i tłumienia zła. Dzięki obserwacji otoczenia artystka rozwinęła w sobie pragnienie zaznaczania w sztuce obu stron ludzkiej natury, które są nieuniknione i tkwią w każdym z nas. W swoich obrazach, dzięki konkretnym gestom sylwetek, prezentuje wartościowe ludzkie cechy, jakimi są jedność, pomoc czy miłość, oraz te negatywne, takie jak zazdrość czy kłamstwo. Artystka gloryfikuje dobre cechy i krytykuje złe. Można postrzegać jej twórczość jako moralizatorką, ale należy pamiętać, że człowiek posiada dostateczną wolność aby samodzielnie dokonywać wyborów. Sztuka Gayi Lastovjak ma pokazać różne przejawy dualizmu i zachęcić widza do refleksji i chęci przemiany na lepsze.
„Chciałabym, aby moje prace zostały zapamiętane jako osobisty wyraz moich poglądów, doświadczeń i reakcji na świat. Chcę też wejść w dialog z widzem, wzbudzić w nim określone emocje i uczucia, zmotywować do refleksji nad sobą i otaczającym go światem, a może nawet do zmiany na lepsze. To my powinniśmy zmieniać świat na lepsze, ale najpierw musimy zacząć od siebie.”
Na wystawie zostaną zaprezentowane prawie wszystkie aktualnie dostępne prace artystki. Podczas wernisażu Gaya Lastovjak osobiście oprowadziła zainteresowanych uczestników po wystawie i objaśniła znaczenie poszczególnych obrazów.
