The days of the Florence Biennale are characterised by a rich programme of events, performances, workshops, talks and the presence of guests of honour. The event once again brought together artists and designers from all over the world, who could dialogue with the theme chosen for this edition: I AM YOU - Individual and Collective Identities in Contemporary Art and Design.

This theme delves into the myriad interpretations of identity from philosophical, psychological, sociological, and cultural perspectives. The call to explore such a compelling topic has been met with enthusiasm, attracting over 550 artists and designers from all corners of the globe.
This year, Gaya Lastovjak was among the selected artists who had the chance to show their art at this wonderful event. She showed her three-dimensional painting entitled "Pain". This work aims to pay tribute to all those who suffer, especially women who are victims of aggression or terror. The painting shows a wounded, incomplete female body that is torn apart by aggressive hands symbolizing violence and hatred. The painting also has an element of hope, it is the hand extended in a gesture of consolation from the upper right side. With this gesture, artist wanted to express her voice that we should all fight for ourselves and our better tomorrow, also to support each other.

Wydarzenie odbyło się pod patronatem krajowych i międzynarodowych instytucji publicznych i było wspierane przez licznych sponsorów i partnerów. Dni Biennale we Florencji charakteryzują się bogatym programem wydarzeń, performansów, warsztatów, rozmów i obecnością gości honorowych. Wydarzenie po raz kolejny zgromadziło artystów i projektantów z całego świata, którzy mogli nawiązać dialog z tematem wybranym na tę edycję: I AM YOU - Individual and Collective Identities in Contemporary Art and Design.
Temat ten zagłębia się w niezliczone interpretacje tożsamości z perspektywy filozoficznej, psychologicznej, socjologicznej i kulturowej. Wezwanie do zgłębienia tak fascynującego tematu spotkało się z entuzjazmem, przyciągając ponad 550 artystów i projektantów ze wszystkich zakątków świata.
W tym roku Gaya Lastovjak znalazła się wśród wybranych artystów, którzy mieli okazję pokazać swoją sztukę na tym wspaniałym wydarzeniu. Pokazała swój trójwymiarowy obraz zatytułowany "Ból". Dzieło to ma na celu oddanie hołdu wszystkim cierpiącym, a zwłaszcza kobietom, które są ofiarami agresji lub terroru. Obraz przedstawia zranione, niekompletne kobiece ciało, rozrywane przez agresywne dłonie symbolizujące przemoc i nienawiść. Praca ma również element nadziei, jest to ręka wyciągnięta w geście pocieszenia z prawej górnej strony. Tym gestem artystka chciała wyrazić swój głos, że wszyscy powinniśmy walczyć o siebie i nasze lepsze jutro, a także wspierać się nawzajem.
